What are Heroes?

Heroes are your customizable battle avatars in SoulWars. Each Hero is a unique character that can earn experience points (XP), level up, and compete in seasonal leaderboards. Think of them as your personal champions that grow stronger over time through battle experience.

Getting Started

Creating Your First Hero

Create your Hero

Navigate to the Heroes page from the main menu and click "Create New Hero".

Choose a name

Choose a unique name for your hero.

Base attributes

Your first Hero is created with base attributes (10 in each stat), unless you choose a Build

Active Warrior

Your hero is automatically eligible to join in battles.

Build Examples

The Tank 🛡️

• Attributes: High Endurance (50+), High Coordination (30+)

• Equipment: Plate armor, heavy weapon

• Playstyle: Absorb damage while dealing consistent damage

• Pros: Very hard to kill

• Cons: Slow movement and attacks

The Glass Cannon 💥

• Attributes: High Strength (50+), High Quickness (30+)

• Equipment: Light armor, fast weapon

• Playstyle: Deal massive damage quickly

• Pros: High damage output, fast attacks

• Cons: Dies quickly if caught

The Ranger 🏹

• Attributes: High Coordination (50+), Moderate Quickness (25+)

• Equipment: Bow/crossbow, light armor

• Playstyle: Attack from range, avoid close combat

• Pros: Safe damage from distance

• Cons: Vulnerable if enemies get close

The Balanced Fighter ⚖️

• Attributes: Moderate investment in multiple stats (25-35 each)

• Equipment: Mix of medium armor and weapons

• Playstyle: Adaptable to different situations

• Pros: Good at everything

• Cons: Not exceptional at anything

Understanding Attributes

Heroes have six core attributes that affect their battle performance:

• Strength (Red): Affects melee damage and health bonus

• Endurance (Green): Affects maximum health and stamina

• Coordination (Blue): Affects defense and ranged weapon accuracy

• Quickness (Purple): Affects movement speed and attack speed

• Focus (Yellow): Affects mana and magic damage

• Self (Cyan): Affects mana and magic defense

Each attribute starts at 10 and can be raised to a maximum of 100.

Earning and Spending XP

How to Earn XP

Your Hero earns XP by participating in battles:

• Base Participation: 500 XP for joining a battle

• Eliminations: 200 XP per enemy eliminated

• Placement Bonus:

  • 1st place: 10,000 XP + 5,000 win bonus

  • 2nd place: 9,000 XP

  • 3rd place: 8,000 XP

  • And so on down to 10th place: 1,000 XP

• Token Holder Bonus: SOULWARS token holders receive 1.5x XP multiplier

Spending XP on Attributes

Open Hero details

Go to your Hero's detail page.

Click the "Attributes" tab.

Increase attribute

Click "+1" next to any attribute you want to improve.

Confirm cost

Confirm the XP cost and spend your unspent XP.

Attribute Cost Progression:

• Levels 10-20: 1,000 XP per point

• Levels 21-40: 2,000 XP per point

• Levels 41-60: 5,000 XP per point

• Levels 61-80: 10,000 XP per point

• Levels 81-100: 25,000 XP per point

AI Strategy System

Configure how your Hero behaves in battle using three strategy sliders:

Combat Style (0-100)

• Low (0-30): Defensive positioning, avoids direct combat

• Medium (31-70): Balanced approach to combat and defense

• High (71-100): Aggressively pursues enemies and engages in combat

Resource Priority (0-100)

• Low (0-30): Prioritizes healing and survival over collecting resources

• Medium (31-70): Balances resource collection with healing needs

• High (71-100): Actively seeks out food and items, even in dangerous situations

Battle Position (0-100)

• Low (0-30): Charges toward the center of the battlefield

• Medium (31-70): Moves around the battlefield with moderate positioning

• High (71-100): Stays near edges and uses positioning to advantage

Seasons and Leaderboards

Seasonal Competition

Heroes compete in quarterly seasons (3-month periods):

• Each season has its own leaderboard based on XP earned during that season

• Seasons provide fresh competition and reset opportunities

• Seasonal rewards and recognition for top performers

Leaderboard Types

• Seasonal Leaderboard: Rankings based on XP earned in the current season

• All-Time Leaderboard: Lifetime achievements across all seasons

Go to the Leaderboards page.

Toggle between Seasonal and All-Time views.

Use the search function to find specific heroes.

Click on any hero name to view their detailed profile.

Managing Multiple Heroes

Active Warrior System

• Only one Hero can be Active at a time

• Your Active Warrior is the one that participates in battles

• You can switch your Active Warrior at any time

• Only the owner can spend XP and modify strategies

Creating Additional Heroes

Currently, only one Hero per account is allowed. This may be expanded in future updates.

How Heroes Participate

Active Hero check

The system checks if you have an Active Hero when you join a battle.

Attribute modifiers

If you do, your hero's attributes modify your battle stats:

• Health: Base + (Endurance × 2) + (Strength × 1)

• Speed: Base + (Quickness × 0.5)

• Damage: Modified by Strength (melee) or Coordination (ranged)

AI behavior

Your strategy preferences affect AI behavior during the battle.

Results and XP

Battle results are recorded and XP is awarded.

Token Holder Benefits

SOULWARS token holders receive:

• 1.5x XP multiplier in all battles

• +20% max health bonus in battles

• Additional benefits may be added in future updates

Tips for Success

Attribute Strategy

Early Game

Focus on 2-3 core attributes rather than spreading XP thin.

Health Build

High Endurance + moderate Strength for survivability.

High Quickness + moderate Coordination for mobility.

Moderate investment in all attributes for versatility.

Participate Regularly

Even losing battles give you base XP.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Q: My Hero isn't participating in battles

Make sure you don't have all your Heroes as "0" Frequency in the Heroes page.

Q: I can't spend XP on attributes

Check that you have enough unspent XP. The cost increases as attributes get higher.

Q: My strategy changes aren't taking effect

Make sure to click "Save Strategy Preferences" after making changes.

Q: I don't see my hero on the leaderboard

Leaderboards only show heroes that have participated in battles. Make sure your Active Warrior has fought in at least one battle.
